Sunny days, heavy lifting: a 32.3-ton reel loaded onto a 40’ flat rack from Bourg-en-Bresse

The sun is back and the days are getting longer, but on site, there is no slowing down.

For ECOTRA Logistics, summer begins with a technical operation departing from Bourg-en-Bresse.

The cargo consisted of one reel / spool measuring 195 x 310 x 315 cm, with a total weight of 32,317 kg. A load of this scale requires more than simple positioning: every stage must be anticipated, secured, coordinated and executed with precision.

For this operation, one 40’ flat rack was mobilised, perfectly suited to this type of heavy and oversized piece. When dimensions are out of the ordinary, every detail matters: the right equipment, the right positioning, the right securing and the right coordination.

The cargo was prepared with the necessary rigor before container stuffing by our PSL teams, with close attention paid to stability, blocking and bracing, as well as equipment readiness before the next stage of transport.

Summer may settle in, but operations remain sharp.
