Oversized transport: an industrial component to Saint-Paul-lès-Durance

Recently, our teams handled an oversized industrial steel component, measuring 4.90 meters in diameter and weighing 20 tonnes.
Loaded on a 40’ flat rack, it left the Fos-sur-Mer port terminal to be delivered to its destination site in Saint-Paul-lès-Durance.

For this category 3 classified transport, we used a reinforced flatbed chassis fitted with ISO twist locks, perfectly suited for this type of cargo.
An escort vehicle accompanied the convoy, as required for this kind of operation, to ensure safety along the route and alert other road users.

Before departure, several steps were carried out: equipment preparation, packaging inspection, and verification of the lashing points.
