ECOTRA Logistics recently handled an exceptional transport operation involving an R22 rail regulator from the Centre-Val de Loire region.
The machine measured 17 meters in length, 3.20 meters in width and 3.80 meters in height, with a total weight of 42 tonnes.
Due to its dimensions and overall weight, the operation required tailored equipment and close coordination between our transport and handling teams.
Loading operations were carried out in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps (37) using two 130-ton cranes, ensuring a safe and secure positioning on the transport equipment.
For the road haulage, an 18-meter extendable 3+1 semi-trailer was mobilized to guarantee stability and full regulatory compliance throughout the journey to the Port of Le Havre (76).
Upon arrival, the rail regulator was directly loaded onto a mafi trailer in direct handling, optimizing lead times and minimizing intermediate operations.
The cargo is now en route to its final destination: the Abidjan metro project in Côte d’Ivoire.
This operation mobilized our transport and handling teams throughout the entire project, from initial collection through to port loading.
