Our Matram teams recently carried out a logistics preparation operation for an export departing from the port of Fos-sur-Mer.
The operation involved the handling and loading of two cargo bundles, with a total weight of 2.8 tonnes. Due to the characteristics of the load, the operation required the use of two 40-foot flat rack containers, suitable for transporting cargo requiring specific loading conditions, particularly due to a height overrun of the load reaching up to 266 cm.
The teams proceeded with placing the bundles onto the flat racks, followed by securing them to ensure their stability and safety during transport. Precise lashing work was carried out using several anchoring points to firmly secure the cargo during the different phases of transport and handling.
The teams also carried out the full tarping of the bundles, ensuring protection of the cargo from external conditions prior to maritime shipment.
Once the operation was completed, the containers were transported to the port terminal of Fos-sur-Mer, where they were taken over by the shipping company for maritime transport to Libya, with final arrival at the port of Misurata.
This type of operation is part of the teams’ daily work, ensuring the logistical preparation and securing of goods before their export departure.
